Two different “generations” of our BJJ CAMP have got together to train at GRACIE SAN DIEGO www.graciesd.com Robert Lovi was only a new purple belt when he came to our first CAMP, after that he returned again, but was not until this year that he meet Blayne Barlow, who recently came to our Brazilian Black Belt Jiu-jitsu CAMP. "Rob Is an all around great guy, he made me feel very welcome at his academy, he is very technical, and he holds nothing back when teaching" "His students have very strong basics and good defense, which makes rolling with them very fun. They don't force the movements, which I feel, is a reflection on their instructor who uses very little strength when applying his techniques." Said Blayne. 
Robert today is a black belt who runs an school in San Diego, here is what he said about his experience at the BJJ CAMP: “"Today I found my Journal of moves and my trip in general to Brazil to the first camp. It's a trip to read it and look back. It reads Before the camp I was on a plateau. Just going through the moves. Stuck in a rut so to speak. The journal said that my biggest goal was to look back on this one day as a black belt. I didn't know it then, but now... I realize the trip was one of the most important I took in my life. I went twice ! I hope to make it one more time. I look back as a blackbelt and realize much of my game was from moves at the camp. There , made friends for life. Since I have seen Felipe Costa, Ratinho, Comprido, Jarace, They have stayed with me, and I with them. The environment, the level of instruction, the hospitality and the whole vibe. Really it's one of the best memories of my life. At the end of the journal I write that I was on a new level and the plateau was over. Now I look at the journal and smile. My goal was achieved.
