I meet Tomas Salgado in one of the first BJJ CAMPs we did in Rio de Janeiro, he was already a blue belt in BJJ and during his 10 days visit in our camp he became very close friend with me and the other black belts. Later on I was invited to give a seminar in his home town in Mexico City, there and Hermosillo were the first cities I visited in Mexico. At that time, I had no idea I would have so many academies and cities under my supervision in México.
Tomas had Jiu-Jitsu as a hobbie, but he did a great job leading his academy to grown and helped tremendously the growth of Brasa in his country in the first years of the team in mexico.
In 2012 he was awarded black belt by me while still conciliated his time in between his main job and leading BRASA DF with his academy.
Shortly after that, he went his own way and no longer had any ties with me or his team and since them he runs his own academy.
