Wim is another student of Ken Van Gilbergen from Leuven. During my visits to Belgium I had the opportunity to follow his progress and once again, I could see how important was the solid foundation he got from Ken.
Wim also had the opportunity to train with me in Brazil, both in the Academy and during the BJJ CAMP, which he and Ken decided to participate in.
From the very beginning Wim had a heart of a competitor and he ventured not only in BJJ and grappling tournaments, but also in MMA having a very positive record of fights. He is well know for his great stamina and sharp techniques.
Over time Wim became one of teachers in Brasa Leuven, doing a great job conciliating the growth of the team and his trips both to learn and teach BJJ.
In 2012 I gave Wim his black belt!
